Public information stands

for The Environment Agency

Graphic Design / Signage / Installation
Project description
Client: The Environment Agency
Service: Graphic Design / Signage
Project: Public information signage design, production and installation

Following a recommendation by the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and a formal tender process, Genie Creative were commissioned by the Environment Agency (EA) to design and produce a series of public information lectern stands and directional signage along the River Don in Sheffield and Doncaster.

The information stands give an overview of the river, its history and explains the work undertaken by the EA and its partners in returning the river to its natural course (prior to the industrial revolution).

The work includes the installation of fish and eel passes and removal of weirs which aid the repopulation of fish species such as Atlantic Salmon.

The graphic panels are printed using UV safe inks to protect against fading and encapsulated within Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). This gives a tough and robust finish for outdoor graphics that doesn’t detract from the quality of the print and has proven itself over many years to be a tried and trusted solution. The graphic is housed within a robust powder coated galvanised steel frame.
