Requirement: Redesign and print of a product catalogue
MF Hire is an independent tool hire and sales company with outlets in Leeds, Leicester, and Sheffield. They provide a wide range of portable power tools and specialist equipment for hire to trade business users and home DIY use.
A product catalogue showcasing the vast range of products for hire or sale is a key element of their sales and marketing.
Genie Creative were commissioned by MFH Group to redesign the product catalogue in order to make it more engaging and to address technical concerns.
Historically, production of the catalogue had been managed in-house, however this proved labour intensive and tied up key personnel for long periods leading to production timescales being adversely affected.
Genie Creative worked with the MFH senior management team to create a design that addressed these issues to an agreed budget and time frame.
At the design stage we presented concepts that combined established core brand elements, engaging imagery and clear page structures resulting in a distinctive design which engages the audience and is easy to navigate.
The complications of designing and printing a 100 page product catalogue from “scratch” is not to be underestimated, however, the combination of our graphic design expertise and the commitment and organisation of MFH in supporting our work enabled us to complete the project 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget.
