Graphic design of Ignite Yorkshire report

Background

In September 2022 I was commissioned by Heritage Insider to support them with the design of a summative report for Ignite Yorkshire.

Ignite Yorkshire is a group of open-minded, creative and enterprising young people who take inspiration from the industrial past to develop new skills for the future.

Ignite Yorkshire was one of 12 projects to be part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund Kick the Dust programme.

The funding and practice sharing programme aims to make heritage relevant to the lives of a greater number and diversity of young people, aged 11-25 across the UK.

Design considerations

The report, (in the form of a twenty four page A4 landscape brochure), is designed to reflect the energy and diversity of Ignite Yorkshire.

I worked closely with Heritage Insider to create a graphic style with a modern perspective on industrial heritage.

The pages combine images form a range of projects with graphic devices and illustrations* to create an engaging and positive feel to the report.

Upon completion, I was commissioned to manage the print fulfilment – delivering a quantity to conference at short notice.
