Ecommerce website design for Sheffield start up
Background
A few years ago I was contacted by Steve Jackson to discuss a new business venture he was considering. We discussed the implications associated with branding a business and I provided a range of options and costs.
In 2018 Steve got in touch to say that he had set up Rivelin Wild Food Company and asked me to work with him in marketing it. Initially I produced a brand style and logo design. Once the brand style was established, the most pressing need was for a website to engage and win customers.
The solution
A key requirement for the website was to offer a secure online payment facility. MY solution was to create a WooCommerce website with an intuitive Content Management System (CMS). A Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) facility was built into the CMS thus giving Steve full control of the site content.
The homepage features a video of a wild Blue Tit being fed by hand. Animated messages are used within the video to emphasise the brand promise. The short video creates a wonderful emotional response from customers and identifies the business in a unique way.
The SEO functionality has been a great success. The website ranks at the very top of google for relevant key words … quite an achievement, given the site is less than one year old.
