Genie Creative have provided brand and graphic design services to Bradfield Brewery since 2012. Through a carefully considered marketing strategy we have worked with the brewery to build a recognisable and consistent brand with strong customer loyalty.
Part of our strategy includes an annual “brain-storming” meeting. At the start of each year we meet with the brewery management team to discuss concepts for marketing projects that will build on the strengths of the brand over the coming year.
At a meeting in 2015 we proposed a range of concepts for a promotional calendar that ephasised the core brand values in an impactful way. Unfortunately the marketing budget didn’t quite stretch for that year. However the ideas struck a chord and in 2016 we were commissioned to create a 24 page promotional calendar based on the concept of “A farmers Year”.
Since then, we have created promotional calendars each year for the brewery including the current 2019 calendar “Our Team Works”
Each year the chosen concept features caricatures of all the Bradfield Brewery team with Russ the farm dog getting “in on the act”. This year our concept focussed on team work and was inspired by the success of the England football team in the 2018 World Cup. Indeed, the front cover illustration is a homage to the iconic image of Bobby Moore holding Jules Rimet aloft in 1966.
Illustrations for each month include a Bradfield Brewery cow relevant to the monthly special (as featured on the range of pump clips and mini kegs we have produced).
The illustrations are the work of our long-term design associate and local artist Dave Howarth. Dave has worked with Genie Creative for many years on a wide range of projects including our work with Bradfield Brewery.
A large calendar date page sits immediately below each of the full-page illustrations and includes a small pane containing the previous and future month. Monthly specials are featured throughout the calendar as well as key dates.
The back two pages feature the full range of permanent and seasonal ales with their tasting notes and the calendar is designed in such a way as to ensure that the brewery logo and contact information are visible throughout the year. The calendars are posted in a personalised envelope.
