Chilterns Conservation Board:
Chilterns Farmer Cluster evaluation report

Working with Heritage Insider, Genie Creative are delighted to have been commissioned to create the Chilterns Conservation Board: Farmer Cluster evaluation report.

The Central Chilterns Farmer Cluster stretches across the Buckinghamshire section of the Chilterns AONB. Its 18 members account for c. 6,500 hectares of the farmed landscape with many of the farms directly neighbouring others offering great opportunities for habitat connectivity and collaborative projects. The cluster is supported by the Chilterns AONB Chalk, Cherries and Chairs project.

The evaluation report showcases the achievements to date and provides information of the ambitious 10 year plan to support farmers in delivering multiple benefits for; wildlife, farmers and the rural economy. It also reflects on the potential to help to improve people’s health and wellbeing and foster a broader understanding and enjoyment of the Chilterns.

Design Considerations

It was important to engage the participating farmers and the wider rural community alike and therefore a “corporate” branded approach simply wouldn’t work. We wanted the audience to have a real sense of ownership. Toe achieve this we “packed” the design with lots of authentic imagery, quotes and case studies from farmers directly involved. Colours and the overall graphic style has an earthy “organic” feel to underpin the the aims of the cluster.
